A little on the technical so you can compare because we care:
- Powder coat is thicker and more durable than regular paint-which means it last longer and won’t scratch as easy, if others are using Rust-oleum or spray paint it is not going to be very durable. Also, powder coat is way more environmentally friendly because it doesn’t release a lot of toxic fumes when it’s being applied and drying, like spray paint or other oil based paints.
- 16 gauge steel is actually thicker than 18 gauge steel. I say this because it doesn’t seem like that should be right. If the product description says 18 gauge steel, that’s pretty thin. We pay extra to get the thicker 16 gauge steel so you have a heavier duty sign!
