The Pavilion Metroscapes Cast Stone Mantel Shelf has a natural stone look with Distress Marks or an aged stone finish. However, if you would rather have a mantel with a smooth finish and paint it with a color of your choosing, then this mantel is available in gypsum.
You probably wonder what the difference between TraverStone, Piatto, and Tivoli is. Simply put the TraverStone is designed to look like a natural stone with distress marks. Whereas Tivoli is a TraverStone product that has been sandblasted to give it a very rough or aged finish. In contrast, if you would rather have a mantel with fewer distress marks, Piatto is the best option. It has a natural stone look but is totally smooth.
This mantel is available in seven finish options - Western White, Sahara Sand, Clamshell, Spanish White, Stone Age, Granite, and Slate.
Pavilion Metroscapes has an open back and is hollow on the inside for easy installation. To install the shelf you need to mount a 2x2 or 2x4 on the wall, this is called a cleat that allows you to easily slide the shelf over it. You may need to level the shelf by shimming it before drilling 2 holes into the cleat and secure the shelf with 2 long drywall screws. The cleat and screws are not included. We provide a patch material to fill the holes drilled.
